EAST SINGHBHUM: Union minister and Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday criticised the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government, calling it a “Jurm, Murder and Mafia” government rather than the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
Addressing a public rally in Baharagora today, Shivraj Chouhan said, “Just as clouds have come as a crisis, Hemant Soren government is a bigger crisis than these clouds…This is not JMM but ‘Jurm, Murder and Mafia’ government run by Hemant Soren.”
Chouhan also expressed confidence that the darkness prevailing in Jharkhand will soon fade away and change will come.
“The clouds are raining, lightning is flashing, and it is raining heavily, but still you are determined to bring about a change… Seeing this, today I can say that the darkness will fade away, the sun will rise, the lotus will bloom and change will come,” he added.
Later, while speaking to the media, Chouhan said that the women of Jharkhand are asking for help to protect their land, daughters and jobs; the BJP promises to ensure their safety and create jobs while stopping infiltration.
“The mothers, sisters and daughters of Jharkhand are appealing that the land, ‘roti’ and daughters of Jharkhand are in danger. Land means foreign intruders are coming, daughters means our daughters are not safe and ‘roti’ means there are no jobs. That is why they are appealing to save the land, bread and daughters. On behalf of the BJP, I want to tell my sisters that we will protect the land, bread and daughters… The BJP is committed to providing jobs and preventing infiltration,” he said.
Earlier today, a delegation of the Election Commission of India led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar arrived in Ranchi to review poll preparedness for assembly elections in Jharkhand expected to be held later this year.
The state is likely to witness elections to the 81-member Jharkhand legislative assembly on or before December 2024, as the tenure of the current government is set to end in January 2025. However, the Election Commission is yet to announce the election schedule.
In the 2020 Assembly election, JMM won 30 seats, BJP won 25 seats and Congress won 16.

Despite his explanation, many users in the comments remained sceptical, citing the coincidental timing. One user wrote, “What?? Lol, timing is JUST a coincidence huh?” while another added, “Ain’t nobody believing this.” A third questioned, “Someone hacked you and deleted old tweets? That’s a new one.”

Diddy was arrested in New York on Monday, September 16, in connection with multiple allegations of sexual misconduct filed against him over the past year. He has since been denied bail and is reportedly on suicide watch as he awaits trial.

It’s worth noting that Usher has not been directly implicated in any of the charges against Diddy. However, his past comments about his experiences at the rapper’s home have resurfaced. In a 2004 ‘Rolling Stone’ interview, Usher revealed he was introduced to a “totally different set of things” during his time at Diddy’s parties. “There was always girls around… you’d open a door and see somebody doing it, or several people in a room having an orgy,” he said.

In a later interview with Howard Stern in 2016, Usher described his experiences as “pretty wild” and assured that he wouldn’t send his own child to stay with Diddy.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal representative, Marc Agnifilo, has asserted the music mogul’s innocence and vowed to fight for his release on bail.

Ever since, the duo was a popular on-screen pair in the ’80s and ’90s. In 2010, they were seen in the film Shukno Lonka. However, they were not the cast opposite each other.
The ‘Disco Dancer’ actor Mithun Chakraborty debuted in ‘Mrigaya’ in 1976. The veteran Bengali actor has acted in over 350 films including in Hindi language and gifted audiences blockbusters such as ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and ‘Teesra Kaun’. Patiala Jail authorities get Malwinder Mali’s eye check-up | Amritsar News

PATIALA: A day after Malwinder Singh Mali, former advisor to Navjot Singh Sidhu, blamed jail administration for alleged maltreatment by not providing his medical records to the jail doctor, the jail officials of Patiala Central Jail on Monday got MS Mali examined from government Rajindra hospital Patiala.
Mali was brought to government Rajindra hospital’s eye ward at around 11.30 in the morning and within half an hour he was taken back to jail, said Mali’s brother Ranjit Singh who had claimed that Mali was maltreated by the admin in jail.
“We got Mali examined from the eye specialist at government Rajindra hospital on Monday and will provide the medicine and other necessities prescribed by the doctor. Mali has been prescribed a spectacle after proper examination that we will provide him. So far, the doctors at Rajindra hospital had not recommended Mali to undergo any eye surgery”, said Jail Superintendent Varun Sharma.
Mali’s brother Ranjit Singh, said, “The police had made tight security arrangements and did not allow anyone to meet Mali. They brought him at 11.30 AM and within 15 to 20 minutes, he was taken back to jail after checkup. His surgery was due from a private hospital in the next few months. We thank all those who are raising voice and concern for Mali whose arrest is a threat to freedom of expression”.
Mali, who was known for his critical stance against the government, was arrested a week ago by Mohali CIA staff on the night of September 16, on charges of hurting religious sentiments based on a complaint filed by AAP’s Amit Jain. His arrest sparked outcry in the state over freedom of expression and also drew widespread criticism from Congress, SAD leaders and activists in Punjab. Mali was sent to 14 days judicial custody on September 17 by Mohali court and sent to Central jail Patiala.

Nitanshi Goel is surely excited that ‘Laapata Ladies’ has been chosen as India’s entry for the Oscars 2025. She filmed the movie in 9th grade and was in 11th by the time of promotion, but had to miss her final exams to focus on promoting the film.
In a previous conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, Nitanshi shared that she later took her exams and was praised by her teachers for her efforts.She recalled, “So, I gave the exams later. During the exam, a teacher came to me and said, ‘You’ve done such good work!’ The invigilator, who was there, said, ‘Let her complete her exam then we all will get a chance to talk to her, click selfies with her and tell her how good she was.’ They all have rooted for me. I couldn’t tell them what exactly was the film I was doing earlier, but now that they’ve watched it I hope they’re proud of me. I’m now in class 12, studying commerce, and I’ll of course give the board exams, which will be next year.”
Nitanshi shared that, even with a busy shooting schedule, she always prioritized her studies and found time for her academics while filming. She said, “I took my exams just before the shooting of Laapataa Ladies. And a day after the shooting, I had my Class 9 final exams. So, the time I got to prepare for my exam was during the break in between the shots. I used to carry my science and maths books with me”.
‘Laapata Ladies’, directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan, tells the story of two young brides who accidentally swap places during a train journey to their husbands’ homes. Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Srivastava feature in the film.

Donald Trump denied Tim Kaine a vice-presidential win in 2016 when Kaine ran with Hillary Clinton. Now, Trump has endorsed former Navy Captain Hung Cao to challenge Kaine in Virginia. Cao, whose family took one of the last planes out of Vietnam, has made his story a central theme of his campaign. In a recent viral ad, he dramatically thumps a desk, declaring it’s the “scariest sound you will hear in a communist country.”
Sharing the ad, Cao wrote: “I’m Hung Cao.My family was one of the last to escape Saigon before it fell to the Communists. I know what it’s like to lose your country. We are losing ours today. November 5th is Liberation Day. President Trump and I will save America and make it great again.”
Cao created one of Trump’s most viral moments on the campaign trail when they visited a Vietnamese commercial center. Trump addressed the crowd, saying: “I don’t know what it is. You’ll have to explain it. But the Vietnamese community loves me, and I love them.”

The Senate race is crucial, as Republicans only need to flip two seats to gain control. While Sabato’s Crystal Ball rates the contest “Safe Democrat,” both candidates are campaigning hard. Kaine, who has held various statewide positions, enjoys a significant financial advantage, raising $16 million to Cao’s $3.1 million.
Republicans are taking a major risk with Cao, a Trump-aligned candidate, against Tim Kaine’s bid for a third term. Kaine has faced tougher opponents, like former Governor George Allen in 2012 and Corey Stewart in 2018, both more seasoned than Cao. This time, Cao’s campaign seems adrift, lacking the direction and public presence to connect with Virginia’s diverse electorate. Republican insiders, like Chris Saxman, question his approach, suggesting that Cao’s Trump-style campaign may not be enough.
For Kaine, this gamble could be a gift. Polls show him leading 53% to 41%. As Trump’s influence appears to be fading, Cao’s reliance on Trump’s tactics might just make Kaine’s path to re-election that much smoother.

Trichy Bangkok Flight: Trichy-bangkok Air Connectivity To Improve Tourism, Trade | Trichy News

Trichy: Thai AirAsia launched a new non-stop flight between Trichy and Bangkok on Saturday with the inaugural flight from here registering 96% occupancy. Thailand is the ninth country and 11th international destination to be connected by Trichy airport. Stakeholders believe the service will help improve tourism, cultural and trade ties with southeast Asia through the Tamil diaspora in the region.
The flight will operate thrice a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Apart from outbound tourism, aviation analysts say that traders and entrepreneurs exploring business ties and eyeing trade exhibitions in east Asia including China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan will benefit. The flight from Don Mueang international airport in Bangkok will take off at 8.30 pm and reach Trichy international airport at 10.35 pm. In the return direction, it will leave Trichy at 11.05 pm and reach Bangkok at 4.15 am. The maiden service from Bangkok had 51 passengers on board.
“So far, people from central and southern Tamil Nadu were going to either Chennai or Bengaluru to take a flight to Bangkok. The direct service will benefit a wide range of people. We are planning literary and cultural events to promote the ties between two countries,” Ammanur Saravanakumar, organiser, Thailand Tamil Federation, said.
Stakeholders added that a section of people reaching Tamil Nadu from China and Hong Kong may opt for the Bangkok-Trichy service. “Since Thailand is a budget tourism destination, outbound tourism will certainly be high, especially among young travellers. But, to sustain inbound tourism, stakeholders will have to propose a plan, probably by promoting places with spiritual significance,” S A Mubashir, vice-president, Trichy Tourism Federation, said.

Dancing diva and actress Nora Fatehi has collaborated with Nigerian singing sensation CKay for an upcoming new track.
Nora on Monday took to Instagram, where she shared a note, which read: “Up Next…Ckay X Nora Fatehi…Stay tuned”
The upcoming new track promises to blend Nora’s unique style with CKay’s innovative sound, creating a fusion. The song is scheduled to be unveiled next week.
CKay became a rage after his international hit single “Love Nwantiti”, also known as “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ahh)” became an instant chartbuster.
Earlier this month, Nora shared a BTS video of her iconic track ‘Manike’ from the film “Thank God” after it clocked its two successful years. She posted some throwback videos from her song sequence.
In the first video, Nora was seen lip-syncing to the song. The second featured her and actor Sidharth Malhotra together while shooting the sequence. In another shot, the camera pans to Nora’s waist as she starts her memorable belly dancing to make the shot more breathtaking.
