The incident took place on September 22.

According to the students, question papers were not fully sealed.

A row has broken out after several candidates who appeared in the Jharkhand Staff Service Commission Graduate Level Combined Competitive (JSSC CGL) examination on Sunday, September 22, complained about alleged tampering of question papers at some examination centres. Around 20 candidates who appeared in the examination at Saint Anthony School centre in Dhanbad protested against the question papers given to them during the examination. According to them, the papers were not fully sealed and the first page of the papers was torn.

The candidates insisted that the question papers given to them should be videotaped, and they reportedly submitted blank answer sheets.

When the concerned authorities came to know about the protest of the candidates, they rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the candidates. The centre’s head later submitted a report on the allegations made by the students, following which Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahai clarified in a press conference that all the question papers provided to the candidates were completely sealed.

The state government has already come under fire after the Jharkhand High Court pulled up the government for suspending all internet services in the state during the examination.

According to information, the government has told the court that internet services will be suspended only for mobile phones and that too for a limited period. Reportedly, this is to prevent any attempt at paper leakage.

The court in its order has reprimanded the state government for suspending all internet services. “The further action of the state amounts to ignoring the September 21 order of this court, especially as the writ petition is still pending. This is a fraud on this court and a deceitful act,” the court order said.

More than 6 lakh candidates had applied for the Jharkhand CGL exam. The candidates are now waiting for the answer key and result. While there is no official information about the release of the answer key and result, it is expected that they will be released by the end of this month.

What Is Technostress And Tips To Overcome It

Excessive stress caused by work, in the tech sector, is known as technostress.

Excessive stress caused by work, in the tech sector, is known as technostress.

Research indicates that even top-performing employees are susceptible to severe technostress.

The recent news about the death of Anna Sebastian, an employee at the multinational company Ernst & Young (EY), due to excessive workload, has made headlines.

Excessive stress caused by work, particularly in the technology sector, is known as technostress. This psychological strain is common among employees working in multinational companies and IT organisations. Many workers experience anxiety and mental stress as they struggle to keep pace with the ever-evolving technological landscape. There is also a persistent fear of job loss if they fail to master new advancements. The rise of remote work and hybrid models has also significantly impacted employees’ lives.

To help combat technostress, here are five essential ways employees can follow to alleviate it:

Accurate assessment: Conduct regular surveys among employees to gauge the stress they face. Open conversations and negotiations can also help managers understand the issues more clearly and pinpoint the specific problems affecting their teams.

Policies: Creating policies can help set boundaries to prevent technostress. Managers must engage with employees to develop guidelines that protect their well-being.

Training: Offering digital literacy training will empower employees to improve their technical skills and establish clear boundaries between work and personal life.

Leadership: Managers play a key role in fostering healthy digital communication within the organisation. By leading by example, using digital tools responsibly, encouraging transparency, and providing training, managers can set the tone for their teams.

Listening carefully: Research indicates that even top-performing employees are susceptible to severe technostress. Early identification of symptoms, regular evaluations, open communication, and employee feedback are crucial to mitigating its impact.

Excessive stress can lead to serious health issues, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and poor sleep. For this reason, both managers and employees need to adopt these measures to protect their mental and physical well-being.

5 Common Bad Habits Children Pick Up And How To Address Them

It includes gossiping and procrastination.

It includes gossiping and procrastination.

The kids are always imitating those around them but sometimes, the behaviour can lead to harmful habits.

Children are constantly learning and imitating those around them, which is why parents must be careful not just with their health but also with their habits. Certain bad habits, if left unchecked, can lead to negative behaviours that persist into adulthood. Here are five common bad habits that children quickly pick up, and what parents can do to help prevent them:

  1. Not Admitting Mistakes: Children often hide their mistakes due to the fear of shame or punishment. If they aren’t taught the importance of accountability, they may grow up avoiding responsibility and resorting to lies. Parents should create a supportive environment where children feel safe admitting their errors. Explaining the value of honesty and responsibility helps in their overall growth.
  2. Procrastination: Procrastination can easily develop when a child is unmotivated or feels overwhelmed. Whether it’s delaying homework or household chores, this habit can become difficult to break. Parents can tackle this by giving children manageable tasks, breaking them down into smaller steps, and offering encouragement when they complete each one. This helps build their time-management skills and motivation.
  3. Not Considering Others’ Opinions: Children may become self-centred, not understanding or respecting the viewpoints of others. This can lead to arguments with siblings, friends, and peers. To prevent this, parents should focus on fostering empathy at home. Teaching children to appreciate different perspectives and the importance of listening to others will help them develop healthy, respectful relationships.
  4. Gossiping: Gossiping is an easy habit for children to pick up, whether through friends, family, or media. If unchecked, it can damage friendships and cause emotional harm. Parents should teach their children the value of kindness and respect in conversations. Encouraging them to speak positively about others can go a long way in preventing this habit.
  5. Poor Hygiene: While it may seem like a small issue at first, neglecting good hygiene can lead to long-term health problems. Parents can engage their children in fun hygiene routines, such as handwashing games, and reward them with praise or compliments, making cleanliness a positive habit from an early age.

Alex Soros: How is Alex Soros connected to the Democratic Party? | World News

How is Alex Soros connected to the Democratic Party?

Left-wing mega-donor Alex Soros recently hosted Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz in New York City, following his appearance at the Democratic National Convention just a month prior, where he mingled with high-profile party members. Soros, the 38-year-old son of billionaire liberal influencer George Soros, shared a series of photos on Tuesday featuring himself and the Minnesota governor against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.“It was such an honour to host VP candidate @timwalz at my home in New York City,” the investor wrote on Instagram.
This high-profile gathering coincided with the arrival of numerous politicians and global leaders for the United Nations General Assembly.

Commenting on the event, some Twitter users expressed scepticism about the influence of wealthy donors in politics. @EndWokeness remarked, “It’s not a democracy if the most important decisions are made in the living rooms of billionaires.”
Meanwhile, @callme_Chari pointed out, “How convenient for them to cosy up in the lap of luxury while pretending to represent the working class. What a joke.”
Others like @stillgray highlighted the perceived influence of Soros in the Democratic Party, noting, “The connections between Soros money and the Democratic Party are just too blatant. Why is no one talking about this?” Additional voices, such as @mikeal_man and @w_terrence, criticised the perceived concentration of power, suggesting that the American dream has become about “how many billionaires you can befriend.”
The younger Soros, often seen with his fiancée Huma Abedin, attended the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where they were spotted with Walz. Abedin, known for her long-standing role as an aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is often described as a “second daughter” to Clinton. Reports suggest that Soros’s gathering with Walz may indicate who could hold sway in a potential Harris administration. Soros’s admiration for Kamala Harris was evident when he described her as the “best and most qualified candidate” after Biden exited the race, further solidifying his political engagement.

Huma Abedin with Hillary Clinton

At the convention, Alex Soros and Abedin, who reportedly got engaged earlier this year, mingled with notable Democrats, including the Clintons, former President Barack Obama, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Soros serves as the chair of his family’s Open Society Foundations, a $25 billion philanthropic organisation established by his father in the 1990s that supports progressive causes.
In 2020, Alex Soros donated over $720,000 to the Biden Victory Fund and quickly endorsed Kamala Harris for vice president when she entered the race in July, stating, “It’s time for us all to unite around Kamala Harris and beat Donald Trump. She is the best and most qualified candidate we have. Long live the American Dream.” Although it’s unclear how much Soros has contributed to the Democratic campaign since Harris took over, his donation history shows he has contributed at least $5 million so far, a sum smaller than his father’s vast contributions.
The younger Soros has cultivated his own influence within the Democratic Party, frequently posting photos with high-profile Democrats and regularly appearing in White House visitor logs. He describes himself as “more political” than his 94-year-old father, who has long been a proponent of various left-wing causes, including justice system reform, advocating for less aggressive prosecution for non-violent crimes, changes to bail laws, and even refraining from prosecuting certain offences like theft.
George Soros himself has contributed around $40 million to support over 70 prosecutors nationwide, many of whom have overseen regions with rising crime rates. Alex Soros acknowledged his involvement in politics, telling the Wall Street Journal, “As much as I would love to get money out of politics, as long as the other side is doing it, we will have to do it too.”
Soros Fund Management has been ranked as the fifth-largest political contributor by Open Secrets, with records stretching back to 1990. Recently, amid anti-Israel demonstrations on university campuses, top Republicans have suggested that the Soros family’s funding may have helped support these protests. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) even remarked, “I think the FBI needs to be all over this. They need to investigate the root causes and find out if some of this was funded by—I don’t know—George Soros or foreign entities.”
As questions about his influence continue to be raised, Alex Soros’s involvement in high-level political events and gatherings demonstrates the significant role he is poised to play within the Democratic Party.

‘Break their hands and legs’: Ex-BJP MLA Vikram Saini on those contaminating food | India News

‘Break their hands and legs’: Ex-BJP MLA Vikram Saini on those contaminating food

NEW DELHI: Former BJP MLA Vikram Saini stoked controversy after he called for violent retribution against individuals accused of contaminating food in Uttar Pradesh.
“Break the hands and legs of such individuals,” Saini told reporters on Wednesday, captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
“”If someone is spitting or urinating in food, strict action should be taken against them.Their hands and legs should be broken and they should be put in jail because they are corrupting the faith,” Saini said, referencing the growing number of contamination reports that have deeply unsettled the public.
Saini, who was disqualified from his MLA seat last year following his conviction in the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots case, has a history of making controversial statements.
Saini’s remarks were made in response to recent incidents where shopkeepers were allegedly seen spitting on rotis, sparking public outrage.
The former MLA also praised Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath‘s swift action to address the issue. The CM recently mandated that all food establishments prominently display the names and addresses of their operators, proprietors, and managers, a move aimed at increasing accountability and deterring further incidents. Moreover, staff at these establishments will now be required to wear masks and gloves, and the installation of CCTV cameras will become mandatory.
These measures come after a series of disturbing incidents. On September 12, a video surfaced showing a teenager spitting on rotis at a Saharanpur eatery, leading to the arrest of the establishment’s owner. In another case, a juice vendor in Ghaziabad was arrested for allegedly mixing urine with fruit juice. Back in June, two men in Noida were caught selling juice tainted with their saliva.
Chief minister Adityanath, during a recent meeting, underscored the gravity of such cases, calling the presence of human waste in food a “serious health risk” and demanding strict punitive action. His government’s latest measures seek to restore public confidence and curb the rise of such shocking incidents in Uttar Pradesh’s food industry.

The Gujarat government in its plea had said the apex court’s observation in the January 8 judgment, holding the state guilty of “usurpation of power” and “abuse of discretion” for complying with an order of another top court bench, was an “error apparent on the face of the record” primarily on three grounds

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a plea filed by the Gujarat government seeking a review of the court’s verdict which contained certain observations against the state while quashing the remission granted to 11 men convicted of raping Bilkis Bano and murdering seven of her family members during the 2002 riots.

A bench of Justices B V Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan also rejected the application for listing review petition in open court.

“Having carefully gone through the Review Petitions, the order under challenge and the papers annexed therewith, we are satisfied that there is no error apparent on the face of the record or any merit in the Review Petitions, warranting reconsideration of the order impugned. The Review Petitions are, accordingly, dismissed,” the bench said.
