Booker T claims popular WWE star got “lost in the shuffle” in AEW
Ever since its inception in 2019, AEW has seen a lot of superstars jump ship from WWE. However, many superstars from the company have also transitioned to the Stamford-based promotion too.
Popular WWE Superstar and Hall of Famer Booker T recently addressed these company switches that other wrestlers made. And in his observations, he stated that some stars who made a big name for themselves in the WWE failed to do the same once they transitioned into AEW.

While speaking on his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T opened up about the Superstars who’ve made transitions to WWE from AEW and vice versa. Most of the wrestlers who’ve made the transition have found success for themselves. For example, wrestlers like Swerve Strickland and Jon Moxley have done exceptionally well for themselves.
Alternatively, stars like Jade Cargill and Ethan Page have made a name for themselves in the Stamford-based promotion too. However, certain stars haven’t been able to make an impact when they jumped ship. According to King Booker, Adam Cole is one such individual.

While speaking on his podcast, he said, “Ethan Page in AEW, he really wasn’t that relevant, and then coming to ‘NXT,’ man, the guy, he’s a star. I mean everybody knows Ethan Page right now, he’s a guy that’s doing a hell of a job. Then you’ve got guys who, let’s just say, for instance, Adam Cole. Adam Cole in WWE, in ‘NXT,’ he was super, super hot. I mean I had touted this guy as being the next Shawn Michaels. That’s what I said, I said that, and then he goes to AEW, gets lost in the shuffle, really don’t hear a whole lot from him.”
Cole’s currently sidelined following an ankle injury, so no one really knows when he’s going to be back to the company. That aside, before being sidelined because of the injury, Cole was feuding with MJF. While the feud remains inconclusive, it’s unclear that the company will continue this feud once he’s back again. Despite the talent, he’s one of the many stars who hasn’t seen any direction ever since he’s joined AEW.
