Rhea Ripley recently took to her social media to share an extremely personal message for her husband, Buddy Matthews. This comes after the Stamford-promotion based wrestler recently celebrated his birthday. The Instagram post garnered attention from some of the biggest names in the wrestling industry that included Rey Mysterio, Cathy Kelley, Charlotte Flair among others.

Sharing a picture of herself posing with her husband, she wrote, “Happy Aussie birthday to the LOML! Words cannot describe how happy you truly make me! I’m so lucky to be able to call you my husband and grow into old sassy souls together! Love you till death!” In the picture the power couple can be seen posing while donning all black attires.

Charlotte Flair and Natalya commented on the post with heart emojis, while Rey Mysterio, Bianca Belair, Nic Nemeth, Tyson Kidd, Raquel Rodriguez, Malakai Black, Sonya Deville and many others liked the post. On the other hand, Cathy Kelley who will be celebrating her birthday on the 27th of September commented on the post writing, “keep this same energy for me friday. but happy birthday @snm_buddy too i guess.”
Buddy Matthews has expressed his admiration for his wife on several occasions. In a virtual signing event with K&S WrestleFest, he shared, “Oh yeah [Rhea Ripley’s doing an amazing job in WWE]! She’s absolutely killing it. I’m her number one fan, as much as all of her fans wanna claim they’re the number one, but I’m number one. Yeah, she’s killing it!”

Rhea Ripley announced her engagement on Instagram with a picture of herself donning the engagement ring while kissing Matthew on the cheek back in August 2023. They tied the knot in June 2024, sharing pictures from the ceremony on social media that was captioned, “Till Death.”
