Swara and Fahad recently joined actress Amrita Rao and her husband RJ Anmol on their podcast, ‘Couple of Things’.During the interview, the actress talked about her emotions and fears before embracing her relationship with Fahad, sharing insights into her journey of acceptance. She said, “I was at a very weird phase of my life. I believed I didn’t know how to judge people. I always trusted the wrong people, who mostly let me down. There was also an age difference. I just thought it was not possible. It was just too much. And it was really shocking for me, because I am not someone who would care about ‘Log kya kahenge’, but yet, I was feeling terror.”
The actress added, “I was constantly having these thoughts: ‘How would my parents react’, ‘What would my brother say’, ‘How will my friends react’ and the most shocking thing is that I thought if I will get married to him, I will not be called for Bollywood parties –their Diwali parties. This was actually what was coming in my mind, and I couldn’t understand why. It was shocking for me because I don’t filter my words, I don’t care about other people’s reactions, I am quite a frank person. So this was very humbling for me. ‘Infiltrators grabbing land under JMM rule’: JP Nadda rips into Hemant Soren’s party in Jharkhand | India News

'Infiltrators grabbing land under JMM rule’: JP Nadda rips into Hemant Soren's party in Jharkhand
NEW DELHI: BJP president JP Nadda on Monday launched an attack on the ruling JMM-led alliance in Jharkhand, accusing it of betraying the tribal community and patronising infiltrators for votes. As part of the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’, Nadda targeted key political opponents while highlighting his party’s commitment to tribal welfare.
Highlighting the alleged mistreatment of senior tribal leader Champai Soren, Nadda claimed that the former chief minister was humiliated within his own party, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), after being forced to step down upon Hemant Soren‘s return from jail.
“Tribal leader Champai Soren was humiliated and forced to leave the JMM,” said Nadda addressing a rally in Jharkhand’s Khunti.
The BJP president also raised concerns over a sharp decline in the tribal population, attributing it to what he described as the unchecked rise of infiltrators in the state.
“The tribal population has reduced from 44% to 28%. Infiltrators, including Rohingyas, are grabbing land and marrying tribals, and the JMM is patronizing them for votes,” Nadda alleged.
In his fiery speech, Nadda also aimed at the Congress, calling it the “most corrupt party” that encourages separatists and anti-national forces. He accused the RJD-JMM-Congress coalition of betraying the state’s tribal communities, saying, “The BJP is the only party committed to the welfare of tribals and Jharkhand. The ruling coalition has failed them.”
He also pointed to the deaths of several aspirants during the recent excise constable recruitment exam as evidence of the coalition’s “poor governance,” which, he said, is taking a toll on the state’s youth.

‘It’s election time … BJP has no soft corner for Congress leaders’: Kumari Selja dismisses Shah’s ‘anti-dalit’ remarks | India News

As Union minister Amit Shah accused Congress of being an “anti-Dalit” party and claimed it had “insulted” Dalit leaders like Kumari Selja and Ashok Tanwar, Selja hit back, reaffirming her loyalty to Congress and dismissing the BJP’s attempts to capitalize on internal party discussions.
Shah’s remarks, made during a rally in Tohana ahead of the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections, targeted Congress for its alleged mistreatment of Dalit leaders, saying, “The Congress always insulted Dalit leaders, be it Ashok Tanwar or sister Kumari Selja.”
Reacting to the ongoing reports of her being miffed with the Congress leadership, Selja said, “It’s election time, and hence they are doing this; otherwise, BJP has no soft corner for leaders of Congress. But these things have no meaning. Whatever I am today is because of Congress, and I have served it all my life.”

She further addressed the alleged infighting and her absence from the campaign trail, assuring, “I’ll join the campaign in 2-3 days and will form Congress government… We are in Congress, and we will work for the party. Congress will form the government, and we together will form that.”
Selja also dismissed rumors of discontent within the party, highlighting the hard work put in during the Lok Sabha elections and affirming that her efforts would continue. “There are a hundred discussions going on in the party, but they are within the party. To make the party win, we worked hard during the Lok Sabha polls, so as to strengthen the party on the ground and fight for the people of Haryana,” she said.
BJP leaders, including Haryana’s former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, have been publicly inviting Selja to join their ranks, attempting to fuel speculation of discord within Congress. Khattar, during a gathering in Gharaunda, hinted at the alleged infighting within Congress and even suggested that Selja could be brought into the BJP fold. “There is our Dalit sister—sitting at home… We are ready with an offer, and if she comes, we are ready to induct her,” Khattar said, underscoring BJP’s attempts to court the prominent Dalit leader.
Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, however, was quick to dispel these speculations, confirming that Selja would be addressing a public meeting in Narwana on September 26, as part of her campaign for the Congress. “MP and elder sister Kumari Selja will also address a public meeting in Narwana on the 26th at 12 noon and will campaign for the Congress. Under the leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi and Shri Kharge ji, Congress will fight, win, and make the dreams of Haryana come true,” Surjewala announced on X.
Despite BJP’s attempts to draw attention to her absence, Selja remains a key figure in the Congress campaign. Known for her strong support base in districts like Sirsa, Ambala, and Hisar, her reappearance on the campaign trail will be critical for the party’s success in the upcoming elections.

It has been quite overwhelming. This has been such a great year for Indian films and there were so many brilliant films in the mix. It’s a tremendous honour for our entire team.”

Venus: The Planet of Love, Beauty, and Desire

Venus, often referred to as Earth’s twin, is more than just a bright and beautiful planet in our sky—it represents love, beauty, and harmony. Named after the Roman goddess of love, Venus holds a special place in both astronomy and astrology, capturing our imagination with its glowing presence. But there’s much more to this planet than meets the eye.
In terms of astronomy, Venus is the second planet from the Sun and the hottest planet in our solar system, thanks to its thick atmosphere that traps heat. Despite its scorching surface temperatures, Venus is incredibly beautiful from afar, often shining the brightest among the planets in the night sky. Its phases, similar to the Moon’s, make it an object of fascination for astronomers and stargazers alike.
Astrologically, Venus rules over everything that makes life sweet—love, relationships, beauty, art, and pleasure. It governs our sense of attraction, not just in a romantic sense but also what draws us toward people, experiences, and aesthetics that please us. The placement of Venus in your birth chart can reveal how you express love and affection, what you find beautiful, and what brings you joy. For example, a Venus in Libra gravitates towards harmony and balance in relationships, while Venus in Taurus seeks stability and sensuality.
Venus is also a symbol of self-worth. In modern times, we might forget that love begins within, and Venus helps remind us to nurture ourselves before pouring love into others. It’s about indulging in the pleasures of life—whether that’s enjoying good food, admiring art, or simply spending time with those you care about.
But Venus isn’t all about gentle love. Its proximity to Earth also hints at intensity. Just as love can be peaceful and serene, it can also burn with passion and desire. Venus reminds us that love and beauty are not passive forces—they have the power to transform, inspire, and even challenge us.
So next time you gaze up at that bright evening star, remember that Venus is not just a pretty planet—it’s a celestial symbol of love, desire, and the things that make life worth living. Let its energy guide you to appreciate the beauty in the world, and more importantly, within yourself.

Sri Lanka has arrested 37 fishermen, TN CM tells Jaishankar; urges steps for their release
CHENNAI: Chief Minister M K Stalin on Monday apprised External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar of the arrest of 37 Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy and seizure of three boats, and sought measures for their release. Writing to Jaishankar, Stalin said the fishermen were arrested on September 21, 2024 and as he has been pointing out, such instances of arrests of TN fishermen, “while fishing in their traditional fishing waters have been on the rise.”
Besides this, the Sri Lankan courts are levying penalties that are beyond the means of these fishermen. Strong measures must be taken to prevent the Sri Lankan authorities from apprehending fishermen and their fishing boats, the CM requested.
“Therefore, I request you to prevail upon the Sri Lankan government to stop levying hefty fines on the fishermen and provide them with necessary legal assistance. Further, I urge you to secure the release of all the arrested fishermen and their fishing boats as soon as possible.”
