Cousin Brother of the Bloodline Members has reportedly been added to the WWE’s NXT roster | WWE News

The Bloodline civil war in WWE is getting heated up with each passing day. As per reports, Hikuleo, the cousin brother of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, current members of the new Bloodline, has been added to NXTs internal roster.
It’s unclear when he’ll be making his in-ring debut at this point in time, but there’s a high chance that he’ll be involved in the Bloodline storyline in some capacity once he finally makes his debut in front of the audience on the Gold brand.

Hikuleo reportedly added to WWE’s NXT roster

As reported by PWInsider, Hikuleo’s currently a part of WWE’s NXT roster, but his official debut hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, it’s not that he does not come without any wrestling experience at all. In fact, before being signed to the Gold brand, Hikuleo was a part of the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion, and was their Open Strongweight Champion.
He wrestled his last match for the promotion back in June this year, and since hasn’t been available on programming, which is likely because he was working on his transition into the WWE.

It’s worth seeing what kind of an impact he’ll make once he’s finally made his debut on the show, and with WWE cracking TV deals left right and center, this is a wonderful opportunity for him to make an impression on fans.

What’s more interesting and worth looking forward to, is which side he chooses to align with. Although it’s more likely that he’ll be aligning with his cousins Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, he could be aligning with Roman Reigns too.
Either way, once the Bloodline Civil War ends, it’s likely that the stable will have an influence and a presence over all three shows in the future. With NXT filled with some amazing wrestlers like Shawn Spears and Ethan Page, Hikuleo is starting off in an amazing place and will be able to showcase his skills without much effort.
Considering the skills that he brings to the table, he has the potential to be pushed to the main card in a short amount of time. It’ll be worth seeing how the creative team weaves their story around this new individual.

TOI Dialogues: Malini Awasthi talks about folk music, its relevance in contemporary society, and her love for UP |

Singer Malini Awasthi’s contribution to music, particularly to folk music, is crucial in the Indian musical landscape. Often referred to as the Folk Queen of India, Malini has been instrumental in enriching regional music forms such as Thumri, Kajri, Hori, and Dadra. During the recent TOI Dialogues: Decoding Growth Story Of Kanpur, the Padma Shri Awardee spoke about her journey into music, how folk music is relevant in contemporary society, and her love for Uttar Pradesh.
Malini crooned her popular number ‘Saiya Mile Larkaiya’ and spoke about how she ventured into music. “I don’t really recall the moment when I decided to dedicate my life to music, but music has always been a part of my thought process. From a very young age I was drawn towards art and literature, and our rich culture and music.”
Speaking about how folk music is relevant in today’s day and age, she said, “Let me tell you an example. I married at a very young age, here in Kanpur. When I went to my in-law’s place, there were so many elders and I had to touch the feet of 30-40 people. When I got introduced to Lokchaar, shishtachar, and folk music, I started to feel that this was so underrated and that this needs to go out to the modern generation with context. We have to understand that if this is being told, what’s the reason behind it? Take Saiya Mile Larkaiya for instance. It is a very contemporary line. If you ask any woman about this, for instance, Saiya Mile Larkaiya, they would agree, because husbands never grow. And towards the end of the song, there is a line – Bees baras ki hoon hone ko aayi haaye. Saiyyan pukaare maiya maiya main kaa karoon. In today’s lingoo you call it Mamma’s boy, but this is what every wife has experienced in her life. We need to talk about this relevance and youthness to folk music.”
Malini Awasthi also spoke about how foot-tapping folk music is often used in Bollywood as ‘item songs’. She also added that there is no need to change the way folk music is or make it sound ‘cool’, she agrees with it reaching the youth. “If modern sound can take the traditional music to the youth, then I am all for it,” she said.
Speaking about how she balances her life, family, and music, she said, “It is an organic flow of body, mind and soul.” She also added that she does not let ego take over her, which helps her to find the fine balance. “Anybody who is sincere will be sincere to all aspects of their life. I am also ambitious and love to excel in all roles.”

Malini Awasthi also commented about her love for Uttar Pradesh, “I feel exhilarated when people tell me that my name pops up in their mind when they think of UP.” She also spoke about being born in Mirzapur, and later shifting to Gorakhpur for studies, and then to Lucknow and Banaras. “Banaras is my favourite city in UP,” she said.

Trump Vs Harris Polls Latest: Why it’s sunny side up for Donald Trump in three key states in latest NYT poll?

Why it's sunny side up for Donald Trump in three key states in latest NYT poll?
Though Kamala Harris is leading over Donald Trump by a small margin nationally, the latest polls from the New York Times and Sienna College reveal that Donald Trump is doing better across the Sun Belt — Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina — because voters do believe that the former president improved their live during his previous term.
Going by the latest figures, Trump has gained a lead in Arizona and is ahead in Georgia — the two states that he lost to Joe Biden in 2020.In North Carolina, the gap between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is narrow.
Arizona
Biden won this battleground state by just over 10,400 votes in 2020. If the 2024 presidential election is held today, 50 per cent would vote for Trump and 45 per cent for Kamala Harris. But the situation was not like this in August. A A Times/ Sienna poll in August found Kamala Harris leading by five percentage points. Latino voters seemingly moved away from Harris and are now undecided, the NYT report said.
North Carolina
Trump won North Carolina by under 75,000 votes in 2020. Now Trump has a slim lead over Kamala Harris — 49 per cent to 47 per cent. NYT said the poll was, however, conducted before reports of Mark Robinson making unsavory comments on a porn site in past emerged. Some Republicans feel the Mark Robinson episode could hurt Trump in North Carolina.
Georgia
Biden won Georgia by just under 11,800 votes in 2020. But Trump continues to have a slight lead over Kamala Harris — 49 per cent to 45 per cent.
Interestingly, about 15 per cent of the electorate in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina described themselves as undecided or not definitely decided, leaving room that they could still change their minds. This is the same group that leaned towards Kamala Harris in August but is now showing indication of slight leaning towards Trump.
Why voters are undecided
“Far fewer of the undecided or persuadable voters cited concerns about Ms Harris’s behavior, though 16 per cent had concerns about her judgment and personality, and 12 per cent spoke of concerns about her honesty and follow-through. Notably, 12 per cent of these voters who said they could still change their mind said their biggest concern about Ms. Harris was around her handling of the economy,” NYT said.

AI AI Yo: ‘Student’ Modi gees up Artificial Intelligence

WASHINGTON: He once joked that the first word children in India utter is AI (mother in some Indian languages). He later wisecracked that AI means artificial intelligence for the world, but for him, it also meant American-Indian spirit. All kidding aside, PM Narendra Modi offered a full-spectrum embrace of the rapidly evolving field, saying it could address many issues in another AI – “Aspirational India” — despite apprehensions in some quarters that it could dampen job creation in a country with a massive unemployment problem.
In a meeting on Sunday in New York with 15 corporate titans, including AI leaders Jensen Huang of nVidia and Sundar Pichai of Alphabet/Google, Modi displayed immense enthusiasm and little hesitation in embracing the evolving technology landscape during what his office called a “deep dive” into the subject. Asserting that India’s policy is to promote AI for All, underpinned by its ethical and responsible use, he invited tech companies to take advantage of India’s growth story for collaboration to co-develop, co-design, and co-produce in India for the world.
The PM’s pitch impressed nVidia honcho Huang, who has powered the company towards the $ 3 trillion club (behind only Apple and Microsoft), and who emerged from the meeting saying “Modi is an incredible student. Every time I meet him, he wants to learn more about technology.” Talking up nVidia’s already significant collaborations in India, Huang pledged more, gushing “AI really democratises computing, and this is India’s moment.” Google’s Sundar Pichai, hot on the heels of nVidia for AI leadership, likewise spoke of taking up Modi’s challenge of doing more in terms of AI to benefit the people of India.
While CEOs of major pharma and biotech companies including Eli Lilly, Bristol Myers Squibb, Moderna, and Biogen also attended the meeting, AI and its leap into India hogged the limelight at a time Washington is getting increasingly leery of technology transfer, while at the same time trying to make an India exception. Even as Modi was engaging the CEOs in New York, the US commerce department on Sunday proposed a ban on the sale or import of smart vehicles that use Chinese and Russian technology because of national security concerns. Separately, a Republican-led US Congressional committee has come down heavily on American academia and industry for helping advance China’s technological advances, warning that it may one day influence any prospective war between the two countries.
While US academia and tech companies are rapidly dialing down on collaboration with China and inflow of Chinese students in advanced tech studies in the US is dwindling, India is enjoying an extended honeymoon, although it is hard to say how long this will last. At the Quad summit over the weekend, New Delhi found itself buttonholed into a de facto security alliance against a Beijing-led axis, even as the situation on the border with China appears to be de-escalating.
US trust in tie-ups with India is powered partly by the many Indian-Americans heading US tech companies. At least three attended the meeting with Modi, who only hours earlier joked that AI meant American Indian for him — Google’s Pichai, IBM’s Arvind Krishna, and Adobe’s Shantanu Narayen. At the engagement, Modi also assured the business leaders of India’s “deep commitment” to protection of intellectual property, a constant bugaboo for US administrations.

Hyderabad ice cream parlour raided for selling ‘whiskey-mixed ice cream’

Recently, there was quite an uproar in Hyderabad, where an ice cream parlour named ‘Arico cafe’ was busted by the police. As per the news reports doing the rounds, the ice cream parlour was selling whiskey-laced ice cream to its customers, which including children as well. This has raised serious concerns over public safety, especially amongst the youth who remained unconvinced and unknowingly being handed out alcohol-laced desserts.
As per several news reports, the police raided the ice cream parlour owned by one Sharath Chandra Reddy based on a tip, where they were informed that 60 ml of whiskey was being mixed in every kilogram of ice cream that was sold at premium rates. The raid on the establishment confiscated 23 cans of whiskey-infused ice cream that weighed 11.5 kilograms. It’s strictly illegal to sell products containing such, especially when alcohol is not mentioned as a component.
There was no explicit warning or indication of alcohol being marketed to the public by the ice cream parlour. The implications are so dire that the authorities must question whether the operation had other, more sinister motives.
What’s surprising is that the ice cream parlour was marketing this ‘whiskey-laced ice cream’ on its social media, and thus it received a rather big audience. Many customers did not know that they were taking alcohol besides ice cream, and giving it to their children without suspicion.
After the raid, the Excise Department of Hyderabad seized the ‘whiskey-infused ice cream’ and arrested two people named Dayakar Reddy and Shobhan. Investigations are ongoing, and officials assured that strong action would be taken against those who indulged in such sales and distribution.
People are so shocked and are asking for even stricter regulations and more vigilance so that it does not happen again in the future. The authorities assure that all those involved with this dangerous racket will be dealt with strictly, and thorough investigations are going on to catch any accomplices too.
The accident brings into question the hidden dangers behind what may seem harmless products and highlights the need for regulation over the exercise of their use to protect consumers and in this case minors.

It started as an extra-curricular activity, which later became a passion for Gukesh: Coach Bhaskar | Chess News

NEW DELHI: What began as a simple extracurricular activity in school evolved into a lifelong passion for D Gukesh and propelled him to become one of the world’s top chess players.
On Sunday, Grandmaster Gukesh led India to its first-ever gold in the ‘Open’ category at the Chess Olympiad in Budapest.
Gukesh’s childhood coach, V Bhaskar, discovered his talent at Velammal Vidyalaya when Gukesh was just seven years old.Bhaskar noted the young chess player’s early hunger to excel.
“We started when he (Gukesh) was in class 1 at Velammal Vidyalaya. He used to come for extracurricular activities. I saw a spark in him at the age of seven and asked him to come for personal training, and we worked for many years,” said Bhaskar.
Gukesh, who is the third youngest Grandmaster in the history of chess, will compete against China’s Ding Liren for the world title later this year. Bhaskar mentioned that from an early age, Gukesh showed a tendency to experiment with his game.
“He started doing too much, and I was very happy that he became the third youngest Grandmaster in the world. I felt so happy when he won the Candidates in Toronto and earned the right to challenge world champion Ding later this year in Singapore.”
Bhaskar expressed his happiness at India’s gold medal win at the Olympiad, highlighting Gukesh’s significant contribution.
The 18-year-old won nine out of the ten matches he played, with one match ending in a draw.
“It is the first time the Indian (men’s and women’s) teams have won, and his (Gukesh’s) wins against the opponents assured the gold in the ‘Open’ category. I am extremely happy for the whole team, particularly for Gukesh, and my best wishes for him to see him as the youngest world champion.”
Double joy for Ramesh Babu
Ramesh Babu had a double reason to celebrate as his children, R Praggnanandhaa and R Vaishali, both clinched gold at world’s top biennial team chess event.
GM Praggnanandhaa was a key player in the men’s team, while his sister Vaishali contributed significantly to the women’s team’s victory.
“We are very proud (of Praggnanandhaa). My daughter Vaishali’s team also won the gold medal, so we’re happy about that as well,” said Ramesh Babu.
“All the team players have done very well and won gold medals.”
He added that the success of Indian chess players had given a huge boost to the game in the country.
“Nowadays, chess has become very popular after cricket. More and more people are getting interested. Apart from academics, playing chess is becoming a part of their career. Youngsters are taking it up as a career.”
