WWE Superstar Couple Marry Each Other Amid Strong Rumors | WWE News

WWE superstars marrying each other is not a new thing. There have been several hugely successful stars who have married each other after finding love in WWE, such as Seth Rollins-Becky Lynch, Montez Ford-Bianca Belair, etc. Another couple of WWE superstars have married each other, amidst rumors of all sorts about one partner flying everywhere.

One half of the unique tag team of WWE “Pretty Deadly”, Kit Wilson has married another WWE Superstar Stevie Turner and shared it on social media platform ‘Instagram’, through a picture. The caption of the photo being “ Till death”, meaning he wants to be with Stevie until he dies, or death do them apart. The team of Pretty Deadly is an English duo of Kit Wilson and Elton Prince. The rumor was, that both are a “gay couple”, which has been quashed adequately. While Kit got married to Stevie, Elton, his tag partner, celebrated the birth of his daughter recently. Named “Poppy Faye Howley”, the baby girl was born on the 20th of September. Elton’s partner is NXT announcer Kelly Kincaid. So assumably, this month has been especially auspicious for Pretty Deadly, and we wish them all the luck going forward with their personal and professional lives.

Pretty Deadly are two time NXT Tag Team Champions. They have been out of action since WWE’s European Tour. In Belgium, Netherlands and Germany, Pretty Deadly shared the ring with DIY. While Kit has a bright future ahead of him, as a wrestler, his partner Stevie Turner is one of the assistants to Ava, who is the General Manager of NXT currently. The main roster career of Pretty Deadly is yet to fly off, as they have made some appearances on and off on SmackDown, but haven’t really made their mark in front of the WWE Universe, in the “Blue Brand”. The fans would hope to see them somewhere around the title picture and hopefully even win the WWE Tag Team Championship, in future.

England women’s cricket team captain Heather Knight reprimanded over ‘blackface’ photo | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Heather Knight, the captain of England’s women’s cricket team, has been reprimanded and handed a suspended fine of £1,000 ($1,300) after an old photograph surfaced on social media showing her in “blackface.”
Knight, who is preparing to lead England in the Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE next month, expressed deep regret for her actions, which Cricket Discipline Commission adjudicator Tim O’Gorman labeled as “racist and discriminatory.”
O’Gorman noted that Knight had no racist or discriminatory intent when the photo was taken at a sports-themed fancy dress party in 2012, when Knight was 21 years old.
“I’m truly sorry for the mistake I made in 2012. It was wrong and I have long regretted it,” AFP quoted Knight saying in a statement.
“Back then, I simply was not as educated as to the implications and consequences of my actions as I have become since. There was no ill-intent meant.
“Whilst I can’t change the past, I am passionate and committed to using my platform to promote inclusivity across the game, ensuring under-represented groups are afforded the same opportunities and fulfilment within the game as I have.”
The image of Knight in blackface was initially posted on Facebook by another individual.
Knight promptly accepted the charges brought against her last month, demonstrated remorse, and apologized for her actions.
Her punishment also considered that she lacked education on the issues related to such a photo at the time and acknowledged her ongoing efforts to promote diversity and inclusion.
At a ‘sports stars’ themed party in 2012, Ms Knight appeared in a photo in fancy dress with blackface. This, I find, was racist and discriminatory conduct,” O’Gorman’s judgement said.
” (But) I find and accept that there was no racist or discriminatory intent in the blackface itself.
“It is accepted that Ms Knight did not herself post the photograph on any social media platform, has no power to delete the photo and has no power to control how it has been posted (or might be posted in future).
“I consider that it is inappropriate and unnecessary to require a further apology.”
In 2013, Knight’s teammate Danni Wyatt-Hodge faced reprimand for similar charges related to a blackface post on Instagram.
England and Wales Cricket Board chief executive Richard Gould acknowledged Knight’s recognition of her serious error in judgement from over ten years ago, stating she has rightly apologized.
“As a public figure and leader, Heather has worked tirelessly to foster a more inclusive and equitable future for cricket,” Gould added.
This incident highlights ongoing efforts within cricket to address and rectify past mistakes while promoting a diverse and inclusive environment for all.

Amid Odisha custody abuse row, Puja held at police station; CCTVs installed | Bhubaneswar News

Amid Odisha custody abuse row, Puja held at police station; CCTVs installed

BHUBANESWAR: Facing nationwide embarrassment due to the alleged assault on an Army Captain and molestation of his fiancée while in custody at Bharatpur police station in Bhubaneswar recently, the station personnel conducted a ‘graha santi’ (worshipping the planets) puja on Monday. The purpose of the puja, performed inside Bharatpur police station, was to seek blessings from deities for smooth operations in the future and to prevent further controversies.
The development coincided with the installation of CCTV cameras at the station.Despite the fact that Rs 4.5 crore was spent on the construction of the modern, three-storied police station, it was surprisingly not equipped with CCTV cameras, until now.
Twenty-five CCTV cameras have been installed at key locations throughout the police station. These locations include the entry and exit points, lock-up, corridor, reception area, inspector’s room, other rooms where police officers sit, areas outside the lock-up, in front of the police station compound, outside the washroom/toilet, duty officer’s room and the backyard of the police station.
“We organised the puja to bring good fortune to the station and ensure the well being of everyone. CCTV cameras, too, have been installed,” Bharatpur station inspector in-charge (IIC) Deepak Khandayatray said. He was appointed the IIC on Sept 18 following the suspension of his predecessor, Dinakrushna Mishra.
“Today, we have completed the process and installed the cameras in the new building,” another police officer said.
State crime branch, which is probing the alleged assault case, had earlier admitted the investigation to gather evidence could run into a hurdle in the absence of CCTV cameras at Bharatpur police station.
Law minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said the govt would ensure that all police stations across the state are brought under CCTV surveillance. “We came to know that some police stations in Odisha do not have CCTV cameras. The chief minister has directed the home department to take immediate measures to bring those stations under CCTV surveillance,” Harichandan said.
“CCTV cameras will be installed in every police station by Oct 8. The cameras will be installed in 52 new police stations while the devices will be replaced in 29 others,” DGP YB Khurania said.
Sources in Odisha police said about 80 police stations do not have CCTV cameras. According to the official data released by the Bureau of Police Research and Development, 11,887 CCTV cameras cover at least 591 out of 679 police stations as of Jan 1, 2023. They included 362 stations in rural areas, 162 in urban areas and 67 special purpose police stations located in urban and semi-urban areas.

TOI Dialogues: Divyendu Sharma on his role as Munna Bhaiya in ‘Mirzapur’: ‘I was lucky to get it’ | Hindi Movie News

Actor Divyendu Sharma is widely acclaimed for his role as Munna Bhaiya in the OTT seriesMirzapur’. The actor recently graced the stage of TOI Dialogues‘ discussion on ‘Decoding the Growth Story of Kanpur’. In the chat, he talked about the breakthrough in his career with ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Mirzapur’.
Recalling his experience with his debut film, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, he emphasized the extensive preparation and workshops that preceded the shoot, drawing from his theatre studies in Delhi and acting training in Mumbai.Divyendu acknowledged the film’s groundbreaking nature, as it featured three new male and female leads at a time when such films were rare. Although admitting that he felt ‘scared and emotionally challenged’ due to his loud character, he ultimately found fulfilment in the positive response from audiences.

Yudhra Exclusive: Can You Believe This? Malavika Mohanan Slapped Siddhant Chaturvedi So Hard That He Landed Up With An Ice-Pack

While talking about how he landed the role of Munna Bhaiya in the ‘Mirzapur’ series, Divyendu narrated, “It started with a lot of prayers from my God. When I did ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, I then did a film called ‘Chashme Baddoor’. After that, I was mostly doing ‘Happy’, ‘Go Lucky Guy’, ‘Boy Next Door’, and everything else. I had given a few years to theatre and the film institute. I had faith that I could do something else. I always wanted to experience that, and that was not happening. So I was very sad in between. There was a lot of work coming, but it was all the same work. I was not able to feel it. I was getting paid a lot, but I was not enjoying it. Now, that can be a problem for my mind. Because when you are new, you shouldn’t think so much. A lot of people used to tell me that I was overthinking. But you can’t do anything about it. When you have that thing in your mind, it talks to you, and you can’t ignore it. So I was not in a very happy zone. Maybe that’s a harsh way to put it. I wasn’t able to do what I wanted to do as an actor, or as an artist. So there was a lot of frustration in my heart. Why am I not getting it? I can do other stuff as well. So I think I was so thrilled that God said, ‘Okay, take it.’ So that’s how it started.”
He further added how promising the script of ‘Mirzapur’ was during the narration. He added, “I met the makers, and they gave me the episodes to read. I read the first two and thought that this is very good writing. I am telling you genuinely. Not because everyone has seen ‘Mirzapur’, but genuinely, it was legitimate writing. So I thought this would be something. And Munna’s character was very good. It was the most author-backed role, I would say. So I was lucky to get that. So it was such a long shot,” he added.

Using Ayurveda to combat the work-related stress epidemic and revive wellness

In recent years, a troubling rise in stress-related ailments has become a glaring issue among young professionals. The recent tragic death of a 26-year-old woman in Pune, reportedly due to a “backbreaking workload” and “work stress,” is a heart-wrenching reminder of the pressures that today’s high-pressure work environments impose. Work stress, exhaustion, and burnout are slowly becoming normalized, often with dire consequences. In these modern times, with digital deadlines and relentless targets, there is an urgent need to revisit age-old wisdom to restore balance—enter Ayurveda.

Ayurveda: A timeless solution for modern stress

Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old science of life, offers more than just physical health solutions. It emphasizes a holistic approach to well-being that harmonizes the mind, body, and spirit. For today’s overworked, overstressed young professionals, Ayurveda provides practical, integrative solutions to manage stress, build resilience, and sustain overall wellness.
Ayurveda is not about drastic lifestyle changes. Rather, it introduces small, sustainable habits that can transform your ability to handle stress and prevent burnout. From balancing your body’s energies (or doshas) to adopting mindful eating and herbal remedies, Ayurveda offers an all-encompassing system to combat the mental and physical toll of today’s work environments.

Ayurveda for mental health resilience

The power of routine: Dinacharya
One of the core tenets of Ayurveda is establishing a dinacharya or daily routine. A well-structured routine helps balance your body’s natural rhythms, promoting mental clarity and emotional stability. Starting the day early, before the rush begins, allows time for reflection and mindfulness, helping to center the mind before tackling the day’s challenges. Practices like meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises) are essential for regulating the nervous system and reducing anxiety. Even a simple 10-minute meditation in the morning can foster a sense of calm and focus, equipping you to better handle work-related stress throughout the day.

The healing power of herbs
Ayurveda also advocates the use of adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, which are known to lower cortisol levels and improve cognitive function. These herbs, taken as teas or supplements, help the body adapt to stress, boosting both mental and physical resilience. Ashwagandha, in particular, has been shown to improve energy levels and reduce fatigue, making it an excellent ally for those navigating high-pressure work environments.
Movement and massage: Yoga and abhyanga
Physical practices are just as important in Ayurveda’s approach to mental health. Yoga and self-massage, or Abhyanga, are highly effective in relieving the physical tension that accumulates from long hours at a desk or in stressful meetings. Abhyanga, using warm sesame or coconut oil, is not only relaxing but also promotes circulation and releases built-up stress from the body. Combined with yoga poses such as Balasana (Child’s Pose) or Shavasana (Corpse Pose), these practices enhance physical and mental well-being, fostering a state of relaxation that counteracts workplace stress.
Mindful eating for mental clarity
Diet, too, plays a crucial role in Ayurvedic mental health care. A Sattvic diet—one that is light, nourishing, and easy to digest—promotes clarity of mind and emotional balance. Ayurveda encourages the consumption of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and herbs while discouraging processed foods and excessive caffeine, which can exacerbate stress and anxiety. Mindful eating is also emphasized, encouraging individuals to eat slowly, in a peaceful environment, and without distractions like phones or laptops. This practice not only aids digestion but also fosters a sense of mindfulness that carries over into other areas of life, helping to reduce overall stress.
The importance of rest: Nidra
Rest is another key pillar of Ayurvedic wellness, particularly Nidra, or proper sleep. Ayurveda recognizes sleep as crucial for mental restoration, with poor sleep being one of the primary contributors to stress and burnout. Establishing a consistent sleep routine, avoiding electronic devices before bed, and using calming herbal remedies like Jatamansi or chamomile tea can significantly improve sleep quality. This, in turn, enhances mental clarity and emotional resilience, making it easier to handle the pressures of a demanding work life.
Rejuvenation with Rasayana Therapies
Rasayana therapies in Ayurveda also provide rejuvenation and deep nourishment to the mind and body. These therapies, which include the consumption of Chyawanprash and specific herbs, are designed to build vitality and promote longevity, making them essential tools for those looking to build long-term resilience against stress.
Ayurveda for a balanced work life
Mental health issues are not just confined to the younger generation; they are affecting individuals across all age groups worldwide. Recently, a man in his late 70s tragically took his own life, highlighting that the pressures of life; whether related to work, studies, or the constant pursuit of excellence, do not discriminate by age. The relentless need to prove one’s worth and meet societal expectations has led to an overwhelming mental burden, making it clear that psychological distress can affect anyone. In such times, Ayurveda’s holistic practices can serve as an anchor to restore inner balance.
The principles of Ayurveda offer more than just relief from stress; they provide a holistic approach to mental well-being that can be integrated into daily life. As the tragic incidents involving both the young woman in Pune and the elderly man demonstrate, there is an urgent need to recognize the widespread and harmful impact of stress. Whether young or old, no one is immune to the relentless pressures of life.
Ayurveda’s age-old wisdom can be an anchor in these turbulent times. By embracing its practices—mindful routines, balanced diets, and stress-relieving therapies—young professionals can create a buffer against the damaging effects of modern work stress, finding wellness, balance, and peace in their daily lives.
