How Your Moon Sign Affects Your Emotional World

How Your Moon Sign Affects Your Emotional World

While your sun sign often steals the spotlight, it’s your moon sign that quietly shapes your emotional world. The moon represents your inner self, the part of you that feels, reacts, and handles emotions. It’s the hidden layer that drives your instincts, comforts, and how you respond to life’s ups and downs.
For those with an Aries moon, emotions tend to burn bright and fast. You’re quick to feel things intensely—whether it’s excitement or frustration—but just as quickly, you move on. This fiery moon sign brings spontaneity, making you brave when facing emotional challenges, though sometimes a little impulsive.
If your moon is in Taurus, your emotional world is grounded in stability. You find comfort in routine, familiarity, and anything that feels safe and predictable. Taurus moons crave emotional security, and while it might take time to open up, once you do, your loyalty runs deep. You’re the emotional rock in your relationships, even if change makes you feel uneasy.
Gemini moons, on the other hand, process emotions intellectually. You prefer to talk through your feelings, often using humor or logic as a way to navigate emotional situations. There’s a warmth to your emotional nature, and when you love, you do so with a grand, generous spirit. However, your pride may sometimes get in the way of expressing vulnerability.
Whether fiery, grounded, or deeply intuitive, your moon sign reveals how you navigate your emotions and create emotional balance. It’s the key to understanding your emotional rhythms and, ultimately, what makes you feel secure and understood.

Naman Shaw: As actors, TRPs are beyond our control, but after 20 years in the industry, I’ve seen just how much more they matter today
Naman Shaw celebrates the success of Mangal Lakshmi with the unit of the show

For the television industry, Thursdays are like judgment day. It’s the day TRPs are released, determining the success or fate of a show. Little did Naman Shaw know that when he arrived on set, he’d end up happily losing a bet over the ratings of his show Mangal Lakshmi.
Naman shares, “Ten minutes before the TRPs were announced, one of my directors predicted we’d climb the ratings chart and hit 1.7.Without expecting much, I promised that if we hit 1.7, I’d treat the entire unit. A few minutes later, the director excitedly announced that we had hit 1.7! I am over the moon and now treating the whole crew — all 90 of them!”
He admits that the pressure around TRPs has become more intense these days. Naman says, “As an actor, TRPs aren’t in our control, but after 20 years in the industry, I’ve noticed how much more they matter now. Earlier, TRPs didn’t affect things as much, but today, they determine the survival of a show. Shows get pulled off air within two months if the numbers don’t come through, so the stakes are much higher now.”

Deepika Singh on her bond with Arshi: She has been waiting to learn classical dance from me

He adds, “Every Thursday morning, I’m filled with nervous excitement, waiting to see the ratings. We’ve been incredibly fortunate with Mangal Lakshmi — the show has sustained its strong start, and now we’ve reached a new milestone by becoming the number one show on the channel. Positive ratings lift everyone’s spirits, from the actors to the writers. But when they dip, it creates panic affecting everything, including performances and scripts. Unlike before, when shows were given six months to find their footing, now they get just two months, and replacements are already lined up.”

Proposed Hosur and Parandur airports to have cargo villages | Chennai News

Proposed Hosur and Parandur airports to have cargo villages

CHENNAI: The proposed greenfield airports in Hosur and Parandur – in the industrial hubs of Krishnagiri and Kancheepuram districts respectively — will have cargo villages.
Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), which is the nodal agency for developing the two airports, is planning for the facility to meet the requirements of industries in both the regions.
Sandeep Nanduri, MD, TIDCO, said the facility at Parandur would have a capacity to handle one million metric tonnes of cargo. It will have a full-fledged cargo facility and a cargo village is also being planned, he added.
Noting that a proper cargo infrastructure was lacking in the existing airport in Chennai for various legacy issues, he said the cargo village would have a direct connectivity to the upcoming Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Mappedu in the neighbouring Tiruvallur district.
“The Hosur airport will have a similar facility in view of the presence of several industries across the sectors including manufacturing, EV and semiconductors. The planning is going now into the masterplan development, and we will ensure that the cargo requirement is taken care of at both airports,” he said, while addressing the ‘Conference on Logistics: Gateway to Growth’ organised by CII here on Thursday.
State govt is exploring the possibility of developing a high-speed rail corridor and high-speed freight corridor in association with railways. According to Nanduri, multiple routes are being studied for the purpose.
“This study has covered various routes like Madurai to Chennai to Hosur, Coimbatore to Tuticorin and various possibilities and combinations have been considered. Also, taking into consideration the present railway network in these particular roads, we are also piloting implementation of tracking and tracing infrastructure to streamline cargo movement in the state,” he said.
Chennai Port Authority chairman Sunil Paliwal said shore power facility has been enabled at Kamarajar Port in Ennore, which is a significant step towards reducing emissions from vessels during their time at the port.

'Raped me in Vidhana Soudha, his car': Woman in complaint against Karnataka BJP MLA Munirathna

NEW DELHI: The woman who has filed a case against BJP MLA N Munirathna Naidu in Karnataka in her complaint to the police has mentioned that she was allegedly raped in state assembly, Vidhan Souda and inside his car provided by the government, police sources told news agency PTI.
Munirathna, MLA from Karnataka’s RR Nagar constituency, who was in judicial custody following his arrest in connection with a rape and honey-trap case, has now been taken into the custody of the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The BJP legislator, however, has denied all the allegations, claiming they are false.
As the allegations surfaced that Munirathna raped the woman inside his office at Vikasa Soudha, Congress leaders performed a purification ritual at the gates of Vikasa Soudha in the premises of the assembly.
The programme was led by Congress leader Manohar who was later detained by the police.
“The victim has been brought to Vikasa Soudha for conducting inspection of the crime spot, and now we are being arrested for performing a purification ritual. However, the BJP is being allowed to protest, but we are being denied permission to cleanse Vikasa Soudha,” Manohar said.
Earlier, the Karnataka government ordered a probe by SIT against Munirathna.
He was first taken into custody for allegedly threatening a contractor and violating the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Subsequently, a woman social activist filed a rape complaint against Munirathna at the Kaggalipura Police Station in Ramanagara district on Thursday, leading to the registration of an FIR.
According to the complaint, the victim was taken to a godown owned by Munirathna in Mutyalanagara, where she was allegedly raped. The complainant further stated that the act was recorded, and Munirathna threatened her, saying, “if the matter came out, she would be dealt with severely”.
The woman also alleged that she was coerced into setting up honey traps at various private resorts. In her complaint, she claimed, “The BJP MLA forced me to carry out honey traps. He had threatened me with life to get this job done.”
The woman also accused Naidu’s six associates, including his gunman, of assisting him in blackmailing and threatening her with obscene videos that Naidu himself recorded. She further claimed that Naidu used her to honey-trap another man, the husband of a former corporator.

Cardiovascular risk and testing: Which tests can indicate heart disease

Cardiovascular risk and testing: Which tests can indicate heart disease

Simple blood tests can efficiently predict the development of heart diseases; a leading cardiologist explains. Cardiovascular diseases can be understood as those primarily affecting the heart or blood vessels. The damage caused by these conditions is not limited to the heart alone. They also hamper the functioning of other vital parts of the body including the brain, kidneys, eyes and others.
The build-up of fatty substances in the arteries and the formation of blood clots are often a common precursor to many cardiovascular outcomes.
While cardiovascular disorders form a significant healthcare burden in nearly every country, they can be averted using preventive tests including both imaging procedures and blood tests.
Being a chronic condition, most cardiovascular disorders don’t develop suddenly but over time. Sometimes, the symptoms are not very obvious. Taking up simple routine tests can not only lead to timely diagnosis of cardiovascular dysfunction but also ensure quicker progression to treatment.
Common blood tests to predict heart disease
When thinking of cardiac tests, a lot of people undergo ECG (Electrocardiogram) or an Echocardiograph and CT Scan etc. Interestingly, simple blood tests can also efficiently predict the development of heart diseases.
Getting the following readings checked routinely can provide insight into the functioning of a person’s heart, before opting for imaging tests. These simple pathological readings can be taken both in a hospital setting and even in the comfort of your home.
Lipid profile: This part of the blood test can be useful to get a clear picture of the cholesterol or fat levels in your body. The readings provide a measure of triglycerides, HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein), LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) and other related variables. Higher levels of triglycerides and LDL and low levels of HDL can predict a greater risk of heart disease leading to heart attack, stroke etc.

Haemoglobin A1c: This blood test reading is observed to diagnose diabetes which is a high risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Fasting and Post-prandial sugars should be checked at regular intervals.
C-reactive protein: This reading can help indicate vascular inflammation, another precursor of cardiovascular diseases.
Serum creatinine: This test helps in evaluating kidney health. Dysfunctional kidneys can put stress on the heart causing cardiovascular disorders.
Amino-terminal, pro-brain natriuretic peptide: This protein is often found in the blood when there is a strain on your heart. It can be indicative of cardiovascular diseases and poor cardiac output.
These common blood test readings coupled with a person’s medical history can be insightful for your healthcare provider who might recommend a more detailed or invasive tests if required.
Imaging Tests that are recommended
Following blood tests, if you are suspected to have a high cardiovascular risk, you might be asked to go for screening tests which will help in providing a detailed evaluation of heart health and blood vessels. These tests would include: Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram, Stress Tests (Stress Echo, TMT), Coronary Calcium Scan, Coronary CT Angiography, MRI and Invasive Coronary Angiography.

Who is at high risk?
While cardiovascular diseases can affect everyone, some factors can put you at a higher risk than others such as diabetes, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, kidney dysfunction and others. Inactive lifestyle, consuming unhealthy food, smoking, obesity, familial history, lack of sleep can also contribute to the risk.
How to Protect Your Heart?
Adopting a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly, managing optimum body weight, quitting smoking, keeping a check on stress levels and getting regular health checks done can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
We put our heart in taking care of yours!

The defence, in its application, said the 17-year-old boy had sought admission in BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) course in the Delhi-based institute

A lawyer representing the underage accused in Pune’s Porsche car crash case on Thursday filed an application in the Juvenile Justice Board, saying he was unable to get admission in a Delhi management institute as it was insisting on a no objection certificate from the JJB.

However, the defence lawyer later withdrew the plea.

The defence, in its application, said the 17-year-old boy, who was allegedly driving the Porsche car when it crashed into two motorbike-borne IT engineers in May, had sought admission in BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) course in the Delhi-based institute.

Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hiray said the defence moved an application before the JJB, stating the CCL (Child in Conflict with Law) was unable to secure admission in the Delhi institute as it was insisting on an NOC from the board in view of the case pending against him.

”I responded that education was everyone’s right guaranteed by the Constitution and he (minor accused) must get admission,” he said.

The institute had given admission to the teenager, whose father is a prominent Pune-based builder, but later cancelled it and sought an NOC from the JJB, which is hearing his case.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ganesh Ingale, the investigating officer in the case, said the defence sought necessary directions from the JJB over the admission issue, but later withdrew the application.

”The defence stated that they no longer want to pursue admission in the Delhi-based institute and (the teenager) now wants to take admission in a Pune college,” he said.

The teen driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when his high-end car knocked down the two motorbike-borne IT professionals, one of them a woman, in the upscale Kalyani Nagar locality in the wee hours of May 19, killing both of them.

In June, the police had submitted their final report to the JJB detailing all evidence against the 17-year-old boy in the car crash case.

In July, the police filed a chargesheet against seven accused in a case linked to the accident, including the parents of the minor boy, in a Pune court.

The boy’s parents and two Sassoon General Hospital doctors and a staffer at the Maharashtra government-run medical facility were accused of swapping the blood samples of the minor with those of his mother after the crash.

Two other accused acted as middlemen between the father and the doctors to facilitate financial transactions to swap the blood samples, according to the chargesheet.
