A cobra that made its way into a society in Greater Noida was safely rescued by the security team and handed over to the forest department.

A cobra was spotted in a society in Greater Noida, causing panic among the residents. Shortly after, a notice was circulated, advising residents to exercise caution while passing through the area where the snake was last seen. After a tense effort, security team at Gaur City 1 risked their lives to safely capture the reptile in a closed enclosure. It was later handed over to the city’s forest department and will soon be released into its natural habitat.

The safety notice, dated September 26, stated, “Dear residents, we would like to bring to your notice that a snake is found roaming around tower C, park side area today.”

The society’s maintenance office further cautioned residents to be “careful” while roaming around the park side: “We would request all the residents to be careful while roaming to the park side area. Especially brief your kids to be very careful.”

The notice that was circulated among the residents further reads, “We have safely captured the snake and handed over to the forest department team.”

Two pictures of the rescued cobra were also shared on social media. The caption posted alongside the photos reads, “Cobra snake found in the Central Park of 4th Avenue Society, Gaur City 1. Security personnel risked their lives to catch the snake.”

Earlier, a 9-foot-long king cobra was spotted inside a house in Karnataka, having slithered its way into a wooden box on a loft. Upon spotting the massive snake, the family sought help from the forest department. Ajay Giri, a field director from the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS), led the rescue operation. After safely capturing the king cobra, it was released back into the wild under the supervision of forest department officials.
