CHENNAI: Playback singer P Susheela and poet Mu Metha have been selected for Tamil Nadu govt’s Kalaignar Memorial Kalaithurai Vithagar Virudhu awards for the year 2023.
The award, instituted in the memory of former chief minister M Karunanidhi, is given to outstanding achievers in the Tamil film industry. It carries a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh and a citation.
Chief minister M K Stalin would present the award on Sept 30, according to a press note.
