Stalin opens Neo Tidel Parks in Thanjavur, Salem
Stalin inaugurated the facilities virtually from the secretariat on Monday.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Monday inaugurated two Neo Tidel Parks in Thanjavur and Salem districts. Each has a seating capacity of 500.
These facilities, each having a built-up area of 55,000 square feet with three floors and a ground floor, are part of the govt’s effort to take information technology jobs to tier-II and tier-III cities in the state.
Stalin inaugurated the facilities virtually from the secretariat in Chennai and gave work orders for the companies moving in.
The Salem facility, situated in Anaikavundanpatti and Karuppur villages, was built at the expense of Rs 29.50 crore and has commitments for 70% of the capacity while the Thanjavur facility, built in Pillayarpatti village at a cost of Rs 30.50 crore, has commitments for 30% of the capacity, Sandeep Nanduri, managing director of TN Industrial Development Corporation has told TOI.
IT, ITES, health-tech companies and startups are showing interest in these cities.
“We are in talks with more clients and more work orders will be issued in two weeks,” he said. The demand for these facilities is good as getting quality office spaces in smaller cities remains a challenge. TIDCO has already booked clients for the Vellore facility even before it is ready,” he added.
The Tuticorin project will be ready in a month, while parks in Vellore and Tirupur are expected to be inaugurated by the end of the year.
Stalin opened a 63,000 sq ft park in Villupuram this February. The govt had announced setting up seven small Tidel parks in the 2021-22 budget.
