NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan till October 7 in a money laundering case related to the alleged financial irregularities pertaining to Delhi Waqf Board (DWB).
The court of Special Judge Rakesh Syal has also called for a report from jail authorities on the application of Khan seeking permission to carry an electric kettle and a glucometer in jail. The court will hear the application on September 25.
On September 9, the same court sent Khan to 14 days judicial custody in the case. The court allowed Khan to carry his spectacles and the medicines.
The court called for a report from the concerned jail superintendent for September 11 for consuming home-cooked food in judicial custody.
Khan, in his application, requested the court to reject the prayer of ED for further remand. The agency told the court that it has confronted the AAP MLA with voluminous documents, seized diaries, WhatsApp chats, and statements of other witnesses/other accused persons.
The accused has been totally evasive and non-cooperative during the custody, said the ED.

Khan was arrested by ED on September 2. The court granted four-day custody to the agency on September 2 and three-day custody on September 6.
